About Course
This CPD training explores essential mental health support skills required in contemporary counselling and therapeutic practice. The course focuses on how mental health practitioners can provide effective emotional support, psychological stabilization, therapeutic presence, and early intervention for clients experiencing emotional and psychological distress.
Participants will strengthen their ability to recognize distress presentations, apply supportive therapeutic techniques, manage emotionally overwhelmed clients, maintain ethical boundaries, and support clients within their scope of competence while facilitating appropriate referral and collaborative care where necessary.
The training integrates counselling principles, trauma-informed support approaches, emotional regulation strategies, therapeutic communication skills, and ethical mental health practice relevant to clinical, educational, organizational, and community settings.
