Introduction

The Faculty of Specialised Counseling at the Chartered Institute of Counseling in Nigeria (CICN) offers advanced, niche-focused training for counselors seeking to expand their expertise into emerging and highly specialized therapeutic fields. We prepare practitioners to address unique client needs through innovative, evidence-informed, and culturally sensitive approaches.

Our curriculum covers cuddle therapy, disability and inclusive counseling, somatic therapy, sensory-based interventions, and other specialized modalities. Students are trained to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, clients seeking non-traditional therapeutic support, and those requiring body-based or sensory-oriented approaches to emotional healing.
